Hi đź‘‹, I'm Dan. Hero Shots is my attempt to provide the best possible headshots and portraits for actors, models, and professionals of all kinds. When I'm not doing that, I'm working on set as a lighting technician.Â

How does a typical session work?
I shoot a variety of looks using different lighting, backgrounds, and wardrobe to provide a mix of commercial headshots, artistic portraits, and creative, colourful shots—perfect for standing out on social media! Sessions usually last 1 to 2 hours, but can go up to 3 hours depending on your needs.
What if I’m in a hurry?
I work efficiently. If you're short on time, I can have everything set up ahead of time so you just show up and get photographed—you can have great headshots in just 10 minutes.
What should I wear for my session?
We’ll be shooting mostly waist-up, so focus on tops with solid colours for a clean, polished look. However, if bold prints and patterns are your thing, bring them! In fact, if you're unsure about it, bring it—we might not shoot everything, but if you don’t bring it, we can’t shoot it.
What kind of retouching do you offer?
Retouching includes the removal of blemishes, stray hairs, lint, and similar minor distractions. AI is occasionally used to clean up backgrounds, but any blurring effects or bold colours are created in-camera using lighting and camera techniques.
When will I receive my photos?
You will receive a web-sized JPG of every image taken during the session via email within 24 hours. From there, you can select three photos for retouching, which will be delivered within a week.
Is there parking?
Yes! Free parking is available on-site.
